SunButter Saves our Day!

Sunbutter Saves our Day | The best product to compliment sliced bread for food allergies | theotherspoon.com | #glutenfree #peanutfree

To all the Moms and Dads who are trying to do it all and pack a healthy lunch for your kids, this one is for you! You need SunButter in your pantry and here’s why.

SunButter. Have you heard of it?

I can’t count how many times it has saved the day in our house! We use it mainly for but not limited to: quick lunches on the go, morning time snack, dinner, and dessert (of course, how could I not put it in our desserts?). And let’s not forget when friends and family come over and want a “PB&J” or a “Reeses” I kindly suggest that we have Sunbutter.

Want to try replacing it in your next meal-time?

Try this easy recipe on how you can make healthy alternatives for school lunches and snack time meals:

SB&J: It's a classic and we love it. Whether in a rush, cut into squares or triangles, the SunButter & Jelly sandwich is always a go to! SunButter on one side, jelly on the other, smash together; ta-da! Mini Sun Cups: Chocolate & SunButter make the perfect pair. A little chocolate, confectioners sugar and Sunbutter turned into the perfect bite size treat. Coming the end of 2016 you can get a box shipped to you from TheOtherSpoon.com The Dip: Take your favorite fruit, pretzel, or cracker take them for a "dip". Take a little sugar & coco powder, melt together, and add in the SunButter for a quick healthy fruit dip. Shakes Please!: Add a small tablespoon of SunButter to any green shake or smoothy for a nutty flavor and some extra protein. Great for kids! Banana Boat: First cut the banana in half, spread the SunButter in-between, and then, put it back together. Cover in plastic wrap and stick in the freezer for a cool down snack later!

We like to use this option of SunButter specifically since we use so much in our house and business.

The best part about SunButter Sunflower Butter is that it is always free of the top 8 allergens we’re trying to avoid at The Other Spoon. Free of tree nuts, peanuts, milk, dairy, wheat, fish, shellfish, and now soy, too. Not only are they free of these ingredients they’re never cross-contaminated thanks to their improved manufacturing! WIN!

Let’s not talk about all the food recalls there have been lately for food allergies (not cool man!). It makes it hard to trust companies who aren’t driven with the food allergic in mind. But please don’t worry! That’s why all of us here at The Other Spoon have delicious, always safe treats so everyone can enjoy. And we always keep those with food allergies our priority.

The Allergic Foodie here! Right now you can probably find me in my test kitchen (i.e. my house) or traveling to a local coffee shop where they're serving me awe-inspiring coffee (sorry, I would share but). I'm kind of a coffee junkie. Yes, I'm a food-allergy overcomer, Mompreneur, and military spouse and I love pushing boundaries especially in the kitchen. So hold on to your taste buds and let's get to cooking!
